About the Products

Why are there usually only a limited quantity of certain pieces?

We are investing to own and operate our own factories. In some cases we also partner with a small number of carefully chosen factories and artisan studios across the globe, each selected not just for their skill, but for their values.

These are not anonymous suppliers, but long-term partners who share our commitment to quality, dignity, and care in every step of the process.

For reasons related to ethical working conditions, fair wages and sustainability we choose to make small, bespoke batches of product especially for you instead of mass produce.

Will the color fade?

Eriko Yamaguchi leather products are tested by a third party, but the likelihood of color fading may vary depending on the amount and nature of sweating of each individual customer, and color fading may occur that does not occur during testing.

Since this product is made of natural leather, it is impossible to completely prevent discoloration. If the color of your bag has faded in the past, please be careful not to expose it to water or strong friction.

Can products be customized or made to order?

Unfortunately, we do not accept customization or custom orders for existing products.

How do you source your leather?

The cowhide used at Eriko Yamaguchi is made from skin obtained as a by-product.

In Bangladesh, where we produce leather products, there is an Islamic festival called "Eid." During "Eid," cowhide is a by-product that is used for food, so we use the cowhide obtained during the festival.

In addition, for the goat leather used in some of our products, we also procure edible leather.

Do the earrings come with backings?

We will include a silicone backing for free.
If you are using the online store, we will deliver the backing in the envelope included with the product.

If there is no backing in the envelope, we will send it to you as soon as possible .

Orders/Shipping

Can I return or exchange the item I ordered?

Whether you purchase an item online or in store, we generally do not accept returns for reasons of customer preference (such as the color or size being different from what you expected).

In the event you purchase an item online as a gift, please contact us for consideration for exchanges or returns.

Can I cancel my order before it is shipped?

Please contact us by email for consideration.

If you cancel after the product has been shipped, the customer is responsible for the shipping fee.

Can I change the delivery date after placing an order?

If the ordered item has not yet been shipped, please contact Eriko Yamaguchi Customer Service with your order number and desired delivery date and time.

We will check whether the change is possible and contact you.
Please note that you can specify the delivery date from one week after the order.

Can you ship international outside of the United States?

We are currently only shipping products in the U.S.

Returns & Exchanges

If I have a problem with the product soon after purchasing it, what should I do?

In the rare scenario there is a product issue, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused in advance.

If a defect or malfunction occurs within 6 months of purchase after normal use, we will repair or replace it free of charge.

Can you repair the product I purchased?

Repairs can be done by our preferred partners. Please contact us
for details regarding the estimated cost, date and time of receipt, and process after receipt ( excluding apparel items such as scarves ).

Can I request repairs for items I received as gifts rather than purchased?

Yes, that is possible. Gift items also come with a "Quality Assurance Card", so please keep it safe. When accepting repairs, we may ask for the information listed on the Quality Assurance Card.

*We cannot accept repairs for scarves or apparel products.
