Materials

This item is made from Khadi, a hand-spun and hand-woven cotton fabric from India. It is made from two strands of 150-count yarn and has a smooth texture. The Chambray Navy is made from a plain weave fabric with colored warp yarn and white weft yarn, giving it a deep color and a light feel.
*Count is a unit that indicates the thickness of the thread. The thicker the thread, the smaller the count number and the thicker the fabric.
*At E. (E.dot), fabrics woven with a single strand are labeled as single (s), and fabrics woven with two strands are labeled as double (dt).

Depending on the production lot, a small amount of recycled fiber (cellulose) may be included in the yarn production process used in the material of this garment.
This does not affect the quality or handling of the product, but please be aware of this in advance.

Materials

Khadi is a hand-spun and hand-woven cotton fabric from India that is made with two thick threads, called 56 count,* which is woven in a twill weave to create a fabric of moderate thickness. The smooth and soft texture of the fabric gives it a distinctive drape, making it suitable for both formal and casual wear. The Chambray Navy is made from a plain weave fabric with colored warp yarn and white weft yarn, giving it a deep color and a light feel.

All clothing is laid flat on a table and the external dimensions are measured.
Even with the same product, individual differences of 1 to 2 cm may occur during the production process.

Attention: Khadi is hand spun and hand woven, which gives it an uneven texture that is unique to handmade products. Therefore, there may be some unevenness in the weave, defects in the weave, and seams in the threads. Dark colored items may bleed when wet or rubbed while wearing. Please be careful when wearing with light colored clothing. If color transfer occurs, wash immediately.

Care: Do not use detergents containing fluorescent whitening agents. When washing in a washing machine, use a gentle wash setting such as hand wash mode. Dark colored items may transfer color, so wash them separately from white and light colored clothing. Please use a laundry net when washing. After washing, remove the item immediately, reshape it and dry it in the shade. Do not tumble dry. Due to the nature of the fabric, it may shrink slightly. When ironing, be sure to use a pressing cloth. Other: About the material: Depending on the production lot, a small amount of recycled fiber (cellulose) may be included in the yarn production process. How do you source your leather?

The cowhide used at Eriko Yamaguchi is made from skin obtained as a by-product.

In Bangladesh, where we produce leather products, there is an Islamic festival called "Eid." During "Eid," cowhide is a by-product that is used for food, so we use the cowhide obtained during the festival.

In addition, for the goat leather used in some of our products, we also procure edible leather.

Why are there usually only a limited quantity of certain pieces?

We are investing to own and operate our own factories. In some cases we also partner with a small number of carefully chosen factories and artisan studios across the globe, each selected not just for their skill, but for their values.

These are not anonymous suppliers, but long-term partners who share our commitment to quality, dignity, and care in every step of the process.

For reasons related to ethical working conditions, fair wages and sustainability we choose to make small, bespoke batches of product especially for you instead of mass produce.

Can you ship international outside of the United States?

We are currently only shipping products in the U.S.

Will the color fade?

Eriko Yamaguchi leather products are tested by a third party, but the likelihood of color fading may vary depending on the amount and nature of sweating of each individual customer, and color fading may occur that does not occur during testing.

Since this product is made of natural leather, it is impossible to completely prevent discoloration. If the color of your bag has faded in the past, please be careful not to expose it to water or strong friction.

Can I change the delivery date after placing an order?
